Everything Know About me

In 1996 I graduated from Uganda Technical College Mbale with a Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering . Upon Completion i tried several jobs as a technical Contractor and Instructor of electrical and Electronics. In 1998, I founded the Institute of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering (IEEC), a vocational and technical institution in Uganda. However, after three years, I observed no progress and encountered internal conflicts with some of the shareholders I had appointed.

Consequently, in 2000, I decided to resign from the institution and establish another one, called Realine Polytechnic. In an attempt to undermine my efforts and the new institution, some of the shareholders from the previous institution fabricated false accusations against me, bribed the police with 5,000 Uganda shillings, and had me imprisoned.
Francis Ssuubi about us two

Upon my resignation from the previous institution, the landlord evicted the school (IEEC), and as I was in charge, I was responsible for securing the property. I reported the incident to the police and expressed my intention to hand over the property to the opposing faction from the previous institution. Instead, I was arrested and charged with theft of the property. Additionally, I was accused of embezzling 120,000 Uganda shillings, approximately $400 at the time, which was intended for registering the school’s City and Guilds UK examination center. yet I had already registered school as a City and Guilds Examinations center. They ensured that I was denied bail, and as such I was imprisoned. Between  April and May 2002 i was in prison on remand for 68 days , during that time friends and relatives worked hard and prayed to see that I am released from Prison .The charges against me were eventually dropped, and I was acquitted. My father Mr Augustine Sempa Musana played a great role in ensuring that am released from prison, he would walk to prison to come and see me, at least twice a week.

During my 68-day incarceration, I had a profound conversation with God, inquiring about my circumstances. He revealed that I was imprisoned for His purposes, and through that conversation, I received guidance to establish Wells of Hope Ministries. I conceptualized the organization while in prison, and on May 1, 2002, Wells of Hope Ministries was officially founded at Murchison Bay Prison Luzira,Uganda.

During my imprisonment, I witnessed the suffering of families whose loved ones were incarcerated. I realized that children were the most affected, and my own family experienced significant hardship, particularly my mother Ms Kevin Bukirwa Zikusooka , whose health deteriorated during that period. She passed away eight months later.

While in prison, I heard stories of the people in prison, and I learned first hand that the greatest pain people in prison have is worrying about their children that they left behind upon incarceration. One man in prison said that he had heard that his 14 year old daughter had been made pregnant, and promised that upon release from prison he was going to kill the man who had made his daughter pregnant .

In prison, I saw individuals succumb to HIV and observed how people were detained for extended periods due to lack of legal representation and a flawed judicial system. The vulnerable members of our society, including women, are disproportionately affected.
